need help

Hey, Ive decided I wanted to build a housewrecker for my system. This will be going in a 16 by 14 ft room. All i need help on is the driver selection. Heres a list of the ones I decided on but I need help picking a pair of 15" drivers.

2 15" ascendant audio atlas's.
link: http://www.ascendantaudio.com/archive/Atlas%2015%20low%20Qts%20T-S%20specs.htm

dayton audio titanics:

dayton audio DVC subwoofers:
http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=295-190

2 15" sound splinter rl-p's
http://www.soundsplinter.com/rlp15_premium_series_15_inch_DIY_subwoofer_informat...

which ones would work the best in the homewrecker enclosure? how would a single 15" rl-p do in a homewrecker?

thanks

after reading steve's recommendations about what drivers to use in the HW, i'd say buy two atlases, because the specs say they're just right. i haven't built a hw, yet, so i guess there are people that can help more than me

use  two drivers, that way you can experiment with many different loading configurations to achive optimal performance for your room. almost any 15s will work, the ones your looking at will do serious damage. Grin

Should I go with the SO imperial or the housewrecker in this size of room? I have plenty of room for either one....Also whats the formula to see if you can down fire your subs without a problem?

thanks for the help

which design would better suit a high xmax driver? When does he plan on releasing the plans for SO? how would the original imperial do with 2 15" rl-ps?

i have an rl-p 12 in my car, and i have built a 15" housewrecker, i believe if you build a 15" version of the hw and use two rl-p 15" in it, use 1300 wrms + you will have a sub that will blow your mind.the difference is that the hw is desighned to fill a really big room with bass, and the so imp is desighned to give the best possible bass (better even than the wo32 i believe?) so you want tons of sick bass or the best quality anywhere? im not sure if the rl-p will work in a so imp? i would seriously consider building both if you have room for either, and then sell the one you like least? i have a wo32 in the living room and the hw is stored in the garage.....but im not selling it Wink different kind of bass from them both, wo32 is killer accurate and can get loud, hw is stupid in your face and clean? itds like the difference between a porsche and a mustang, both nice cars, but different performance. hw is a muscle car, so is a porsche.  ::)

Im mainly looking for sq while still getting incredibly loud if need be. Im thinking the SO but it will pry need a lower xmax subwoofer. Im just going to use this for music so I guess I dont need insane performance below 30-35 hz. In past threads about the SO it stated that it required a 15" driver to do will in a 5 ft^3 sealed box . So the driver needs a high qts.

thanks for the offer but I live in south dakota Cry. I guess I'll be waiting until they release the plans for the SO. I just hope you can use higher xmax drivers for the SO.

I have a pair of tc9's in my car but I don't have the rl-p's yet. I could always get a 3hp from tc sounds if it allows 30 mm of xmax. I doubt it will but I can dream.

why couldn't it be used ? the so has a sealed rear chamber and the only problem could be the panel in front on the speaker. but you can always put the sub a bit deeper in the baffle
