Title: Re: Lii Fast-15 Curved Baffle Post by Geno on 01/13/23 at 12:21:53 Nice! How in the world did you get the bend in the wood? Very smooth. Best, Geno P.S. The stone component stands at each end of the fireplace are very cool!!! |
Title: Re: Lii Fast-15 Curved Baffle Post by JEllis25 on 01/13/23 at 14:15:24 Geno, The technique is called "kerf bending" and is held together by wood glue. Simple design. Difficult execution. Making some for a customer and now everybody wants them. The stonework came with the house. I think it was designed for firewood. Lemonade from lemons in my case. Thank you for the kind words. |

What are your thoughts about the stone fireplace? I have a similar setup, though more rough and jagged. Despite the hard surface it images beautifully. |

Title: Re: Lii Fast-15 Curved Baffle Post by JEllis25 on 01/13/23 at 22:31:39 I would say the stone fireplace works well as a diffuser. Room is slightly treated and does well. Birch plywood is more than it used to be but I didn't make speakers back then. |
