The fascinating thing about this image is how the regular tubes in this amp put the 3rd harmonic, the only odd-order harmonic, just at the line of inaudibility with 100dB speakers while the Wathen Cryotone tubes put the 3rd harmonic, the only odd order harmonics completely out of the picture. It no longer exists. That means that with this tube set, the push-pull amplifier has perfect even order harmonic distortion. This level shown is presently at 1 watt with 0.2% THD.

Hi Steve!

This is really interesting!
I saw your YouTube vid and I was amazed by the measurements and the difference between the boutique tubes and the cryo treated tubes. God news for us!
I have one question, I have a CSP3 and a Torii Jr on the way soon. If you would have to choose to upgrade the input tubes on CSP3 or the Torii, wich one would you go for?

I would like to see this experiment go one step further.

What do the Cryotone tubes measure like before the Cryo treatment?

Sorry that I'm such a sceptic but I've been burned badly before by Charlatans in the Cryo industry.

Before I drop my hard earned money down on these tubes I want to know that it is 100% due to the treatment.
