Title: Weirdly shaped open floor plan speaker placement. Post by Bluemage on 02/05/22 at 03:20:15 I've got a really weird room that's openly attached to several other rooms, and possessing 18 ft ceilings. As you can see by the included photo drawings, it completely open on 2 sides, which makes it impossible to place speakers equidistant from any walls. It's not a bad sounding room. We've got lots of furniture and rugs and such, and it's not echo(y) at all. I would just really appreciate some knowledge and advice from the Decware crowd on what I should do, and or expect as is for the best soundstage. It's so weirdly shaped, I'm just not sure what's best. I'm running Norman Lab Model 9s, and I'll be pushing them with a Torii MKV...ZP3, turntable only. Thanks! I am an advocate for room treatments. But, you may have something that might be as close to as good as it can be. Try to analyze the frequency response at various points in the room. Looking for any abnormalities. For instance, bass louder in the wrong location. Whatever, good luck. Dennis |
