I’ve just purchased a used CSP3, and want to know exactly which caps are in it - Type l or ll ? Photo below:

Most likely Type I given the age and the look of the caps (from memory). I think Steve started offering Type II more recently. ZROCK era.

The caps should say "Copper foil" or "Beeswax Paper" (type 1) as pictured on their website (I believe, it's been a while since I had a look inside.)

Type 2 use in Decware pre-dated the ZROCK components I believe.

It also shows prices. The Type II are twice the Type I!

I was looking at the link Archie posted. At first, I thought I had Type II. Looking again, I was mistaken. Actually Type I. Still a step up from the film caps.

Email Steve or Sarah with the serial # and they will be able to give you the build details.

Yes the PO may have swapped out some components but at least you'll know what it was built to. Then compare what's inside vs the build sheet.
