Title: up grade phono stage
Post by robd on 11/03/19 at 15:55:41

Would like to up grade my system.  I read a lot of good things about phono stage amp.  Wondering if I could plug it in the aux. of the M1 audio note.
Your thoughts. thanks.

Yes, you should be able to use the ZP3 routed through that auxiliary input.

Thanks for the reply.  I've only read positive things about the ZP3. I'm sure it would be a good fit with my other equipment.

The ZP3 is a phenomenal component. I had a basic earlier ("white top") model with standard caps. The current model with the Jupiter caps and the 25th Anniversary Mods would be a giant-killer phono preamp.

Wow, I have not read about 25th Anniversary Mods and Jupiter caps.  Is it talked about in the description.  I missed it.  Will go look now.
Thanks.

The caps are mentioned in the description, and the mods are detailed in the shopping cart description (if you add the item to the cart you can see and select all options and mods. You can remove the item from the cart afterwards).

I’ve been using  ZP3 with full anniversary mods for a few months now and it is phenomenal. I couldn’t be  be happier.

Is the 25mod these selections?
Beeswax caps
Option for poly bypass or beeswax bypass, assume its beeswax? correct?

Also the option for Silver RCA Jacks worth it?  The 84UFO25 has gold and not the option for Silver like the ZP3 does.  Shouldn't you have the same in both?

As far as the mods go, if you select the ZP3 with the standard audiophile caps, which are "poly," you'll select the "Poly bypass cap mod" for the mod. If you decide to select the optional Jupiter beeswax cap for the ZP3, then the mod would require the Beeswax bypass cap mod.

As for the silver or gold options. . . I don't really know if these make an audible difference. Steve has advised that if your interconnects have gold plated connectors, choose gold, if they have silver, choose silver.

robd- We love our ZP3, along with all the other Decware in the rack. That will never leave my system. Period. Happy listening, Chris.
