Title: Using SE84UFO's as mono amps
Post by akmike on 03/30/18 at 18:08:24

What is the best way to bridge the SE84UFO's?
1. Have them wired in mono when purchased
2. Use an RCA splitter on the source end with 2 runs of cable to the inputs on the amp for each channel.
3. Use a Y cable adapter.

Using a Y cable adapter seems like you are putting a week link in the chain. I have not found many quality Y cables. Morrow Audio does make a full length Y cable. I would like the use the Decware Silver Reference Interconnects.

There is info on the product page on how to run two of them. Also in the manual.

If you don't already have one of the amps why not order the mono blocks with or without the anniversary mod :) I know you don't get as many watts as two se84ufo's bridged, but I'm not sure it's necessary if you have efficient speakers.

I have Martin-Logan CLX's rated at 90dB. I think I might need the extra power.

I’ve see  the manual. Just trying to find the best way. I haven’t found very many quality RCA Y adapters. It seems a shame to use a high quality cable with a low quality adapter. Any suggestions? That’s why I thought of his an RCA splitter with two cables.

Hopefully the photo attaches

here is a photo of my bridged UFO2. Not sure if it is the best method. But I don't think Steve would recommend something that isn't optimal.
Pretty simple. Like others have commented, the instructions can be found in the manual on the website. Hope this helps.
