I just couldn't watch the whole thing. I'm stumped by what I saw. I have had crappy listening environments before, yet, non as small and cluttered as this. I shake my head. Obviously, his wife has locked him downstairs, and he has made the best of it.

Too much disorder in his house! I couldn't live like that.
But then again I have all of the screws in my light switches and outlets orientated the same way. I might be a little OCD.

I am very intrigued with his suspended isolation system that he had his table on. That was very cool.

It actually works quite well. Having had a similar situation in the past, the solution is near-field listening. There are a lot of similarities between near-field listening and headphones (which work almost anywhere).

Piles of crap everywhere, you could even hear him stepping on long lost stuff buried deep in the rug. :o

He has some serious $$$ sunk into that kit though ... when he can find it LOL ;D

Yikes! For a moment I thought I was watching an episode of Hoarders on A&E.

Really, if all you had to work with was THAT room, then why wouldn't you be into phones? One of the ultimate experiences would be coming directly from the *balanced* phono amp, into the *balanced* phone amp, and then into *balanced* phones. I mean a phono cartridge is already a balanced design to start with. Go ahead, you got money. Spend a few grand on phones, and much more on the rest, and hey, your on top.
