Title: Running 2 amps through a CSP2
Post by samb0357 on 01/06/17 at 22:40:00

Currently using a CSP2 with both a Crown XLS1000 and Harmon Kardan Citation 22 amp. Each amp is driving a pair of AR3 speakers(4 ohms). I'm splitting the signal from each amp for each channel of the CSP2. It sounds great but according to at least one person on another forum since the input impedance of each amp is 20K Ohms and 22K Ohms respectively, and they get halved, the CSP2 might not like that.

Any thoughts if this for whatever reason not a good idea?

Found my answer. The CSP2 is up to the task.

When I bought my CSP3 I ordered the dual stereo output option.  I had a Torii MK IV and a Taboo MK III both hooked to it but only used one or the other.  The Taboo isn't in the main system anymore. The standard CSP3 comes with one mono and one stereo output. Mark.

It would be cool to have an extra output, but a Y cable does the trick. I'm just happy to have such a great sounding and versatile pre, especially since with my setup I'm using big ss amps. Nice to get some tubes in the chain.
