Yes, it just came in the mail today and wow, a huge difference right out of the gate, all for the better. I suppose some breakin still to come?

Anyone else have this one?

It depends so much on everything else, but I sold mine finding them good sounding in general, but the "warmth" also being a little dull, lacking fine micro information. I like others of the tube type better, my favorite being and early 50s Tungsol ST shape. And with the warm Upsacle Telefunken in front of the CSP3, and warmish Sylvania gold pin 6922 with D getters second postion, even the usually very clean early 50s RCA 5R4GY has warmth and is quite good.

It's only been a few hours but sounds very good. I currently am running an Upscale SIEMENS A-FRAME E88CC/6922 in the input position and 6N1P's in the output positions. I may go back to the Upscale telefunkin tomorrow in the input and see how it sounds.

ILance, do let me know if you put the Telefunken back in. I'm running that with the 6N1P's. I am looking forward to hearing this Philips rectifier. All about some tube rolling fun for me now. System set!

(One caveat: new ZTPRE possible purchase~will see how that fleshes out).

Stone, the first thing I noticed with the Phillips 5r4gys is improved bass. I have now gone back to the Upscale Telefunkin 6922 at the input position but I think I will wait until next week to do any critical listening. I have a killer head cold and don't trust my ears right now.
