Title: Loose/stripped power cord input screws?
Post by attym on 10/15/14 at 16:54:01

Hello, on my ZP3, the power input seems to be a bit loose. Perhaps from the weight of the power cord. When I go to tighten it, it seems stripped and won't tighten any more. Its just not snug but I could leave it as is. Has anyone run into this issue? Any solution? Drive a bigger screw in there? :)

Thanks

silver paper or small slither of wood in the screw hole will get it tight again..just.

While I have not received my ZP3 or Rachel yet… it looks like the IEC power socket is on the chassis, not the wood case. There must be a nut on the other side that is just spinning when you try to tighten the screw. It shouldn't be too much to remove the screws on top and get inside to check it out. OF COURSE, un-plug it and remove the tubes and remember that the capacitors will hold a BIG charge for a long while so do not touch them. Or call Zen Master Steve and ask him what to do. Be careful and happy listening, Chris.
