Title: Spike thread size?
Post by Pale Rider on 06/19/11 at 22:57:47

Bob or any ERR owners: do you know what size threads the spike inserts are? Am considering trying the Herbie's threaded gliders with the ERRs. Would seem to provide good floor coupling and stability on hardwood floor. Can be seen here, about 2/3 of the way down the page.

Outstanding. Thank you Bob. 1/2-inch stud?

The inserts are 19mm long and the hole is bored 1-1/4" deep. So, 1/2" long stud will work fine.

Thanks again Bob. I have ordered eight of these things with a 3/4 stud (might as well make use of as much as those 19mm as possible) to try on my first ERR pair (what will be the anchor pair for 2-channel hi-fi).

FWIW, these little things work great in a size of 1/4" 20 x 3/4" stud:
