Title: Problems with the kit Post by Havlaz on 10/28/10 at 23:00:40 Hi This topic is so quiet, I thought I'd revive it... I am having problem with this kit - after assembling it it was producing sound, but with distortion in low ends. so I tried it with a 12v battery, and the thing stopped working completely. No sound is coming out the led is working I have ruled out source - my zen is producing sound. I am very inexperienced with circuits at this point(this is my 3 project), but I plan to study the schematics and try to figure it out my self. of course I can use any help. What points on the board can I check? I started that and see that the op-amps are getting ~7v voltage in the v+ rail Is it possible that I have fried something with the 12v? if so, what would be the most 'delicate' part? Title: Problem solved Post by Havlaz on 11/23/10 at 15:46:53 I have replaced both op amps and now the kit is singing beautifully. I am not sure if I got them(probably one of them) defective or I killed them :)
