Oh man!, that rack just screams out for better component positioning. Looks to be a nice sounding system though. :)

Nice simple system.

I understand why the components are arranged the way they are (weight on the bottom, turntable low to reduce vibrations/sway, venting (and showing off) the tubed amp on top).

I use a cheap Ikea night stand for a small rack, but with turntable and tubed amp, you'd need to go to a coffee table with under shelf.

I do wonder why the speakers are sort of close to the front wall.

It's nice. But you can also arrange it in a proper way so that it looks more attractive and not much in front.
