Title: WO 32 with Electrostatics
Post by larry on 04/09/07 at 18:10:58

I really enjoy my WO 32. I built it because of it's speed. My front channel speakers are Acoustat Spectra 11's. The thing I like most about the WO 32 is that you don't know it's there until you get some deep base passages. No muddy or boomy bass out of this box.

What drivers are you using Larry?  And what gear are you using to drive the WO32?  Pics?

I am currently using Peerless 10" woofers. I am switching to the Decware driver. I was driving it with an old modified Hafler. Now I'm using an old Electrovoice amp. I will be upgrading the amp to something with 200 watts per channel. Our company has a pro audio division. If we have any decent amps I'll buy it cheap and use it.

and if you ever want to piss your neibours off, throw some rap on your system and watch the wo32 move into another dimension. 8-)

Good to know you are pleased with the match between your sub and the electrostats.  I want to build this subwoofer to complement my Nibbelin Nfx speakers.  If the wo32 can keep up with your electrostats I know it will have no problem with my speakers.  It appears that there is a big difference between plate amp and a separate with plenty of power.  You helped me make up my mind to go with big power.
