Title: DFR8 driver in a different cabinet?
Post by gnat leader on 10/10/06 at 17:32:55

Anyone tried this driver in a different cab than the HDT? Results?
I'm thinking of swapping the DFR8 in my HDT over to my K-Slot horn (which has the 206EM driver) as an experiment.

I wish I could report on my Nibbelin NFX project.  I have a pair of DFR8s ready to go into them.  I have had them for awhile.  I just got way too busy with other daily activities to assemble them.  The pieces are all cut and waiting but, kids, work, winter prep, tailgating, etc.  etc.

Go for it and let us know. I have enjoyed reading about your journey with those speakers (K-horns) in the other threads.

I tried the DFR8's in my K-horns.  They work great!

Well Gnat I have my DFR-8s in my Nibbelin NFX boxes right now.   The boxes dont have their finish on them nor are the stand complete.  They sound wonderful.  It sounds like Art Pepper is right in the room.  I have not done any break-in on the drivers and oh they do sound good already.
