ABOUT THESE FINE SPEAKERS These angled back towers use a tried and true MTM configuration with emphasis on interfacing a planar tweeter through proper cone geometry. As a result they have very high imaging precision and focus sure to satisfy the hardcore audiophiles. Unlike many MTM designs we've developed a very inert transmission line cabinet that loads a horizontal passive radiator against the floor. Transmission line speakers have a well deserved reputation for superb bass, accurate and deep. These speakers maintain that reputation. With an efficiency of 94dB and no crossover on the main drivers you can enjoy them on low to medium powered amplifiers like your favorite SET. These speakers have a presence and detail reminiscent of single driver speakers. Unlike many single driver speakers they protect that presence and detail from becoming too lean with rock solid bass into the low 30's making use of a subwoofer obsolete or at least optional. The MG944's simply let you hear what the recording actually sounds like without getting in the way and without adding or subtracting things.
