ABOUT THESE FINE SPEAKERS These are single full range drivers with no crossovers in one of the most esoteric cabinet designs ever done. A multi chamber design where each chamber is tuned differently and cross-coupled to feed an averaging chamber in the bass which in turn feeds a vertical transmission line that is loaded by a dispersion plate on the top of the cabinet. Side firing passive radiators are part of the cross-coupling of the internal chambers and dissipate the speakers rear wave to prevent a boxy sounding midrange. They are also part of the overall low frequency tuning. Short of a true horn, no other reflex cabinet offers damping across such a wide bandwidth far exceeding the normal 1 octave you get from a reflex box. As a result, this speaker has jaw dropping power handling and SPL capabilities with high definition that extends to the lowest frequencies. At 96dB with 1 watt it is also ideally suited for small single ended amplifiers with as little as 2 watts. Sonically these speakers are smooth with good weight and lack the typical lean signature and shouty midrange of other single driver designs. The Decware Modified Fostex drivers don't hurt either! The phase guide extends the response and air on the top end to a point where you'll never find it lacking. Adding a tweeter at 10K will not be needed.
