James,

It sounds like the tube got switched with something else during packing because I always put 12AU7 in the ZCD, which I feel to sound better most of the time.

Thanks Steve did not realize this . Went by the info that said the 12at7 was the primary tube . thanks again , love this player!!!!!!!!!

Big bump for sure... I tried an Amperex Bugle Boy 12 AT7 with 'D' foil getter, and it is superb in my ZCD... Next best is a Telefunken 12 AU7 long plate... Of course, to my listening tastes... (m.)
