Hi

I recently saw an old JBL box with a granite top, or was it marble, and I was wondering how changing the panel "J" from 3/4" MDF to 1" marble would affect the sound.

I would say it would be marginal at best. It is possible it could change the tuning a little but prolly not noticeable enough to be heard by my ear anyway. I say go for and post some pics please.
