Problem with speakers in a Volvo

Hi, my name is Roberto and I'm from Eastern Europe.

I own a Volvo S40 2005 model, with High Performance Audio package, great audio system that kicks ass in terms of quality especially, well at least it did for some years.

No too long ago one the loudspeakers in my front right door started to do a phenomenom wich I call "choking". That means when at low volume, the loudspeaker "choke" somehow, it stops playing, I can only hear the tweeter playing in that door, wich is separate. If I turn the volume up a bit, or if the song playing has some parts with bass, it suddenly "un-choke" itself.
The same "un-choking" thing happen if I hit the door speaker grille with my hand, give him a bang and it starts playing again.

Now my left rear door loudspeaker got the same problem.

I think the cause of this could be the constant vibrations and vertical shocks caused by our damn disastrous roads here in Romania.

Maybe the coil got diformed somehow and the 2 parts are rubbing and getting stuck at low volume\power.
This would explain why when I turn the volume up, they "un-choke". Probably because the power fed to them is so high and they can't get stuck.

As far as I know, Volvo works with Dynaudio and these speakers are hard to find, not to mention their price so I'm asking for your help and advice :

What should I do ? Can they be fixed ? I will soon remove the door panels and inspect the loudspeakers, what should I look for ?

Any advice will help,

Thank you very much and sorry if my english is bad.

Your English is fine and as correct as most native speakers. Probably removal and inspection of the speaker is the place to start. The inspection would tell if wire solder joints were still good or rust was maybe effecting the speakers or any of a few things that would only be visible to the eye. Speakers that are door mounted could have water getting into them or just dirt preventing them from responding. Check the internet for parts or service info once you can tell what brand they are. Good luck!
