Bon Iver at AIR Studios... very cool and one of the best renditions of Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me" ... that I've ever heard!

From Coal to Coletrane by Paul McGowan and PS Audio ... a neat little documentary about electrical energy ... yes in the end they start talking about the importance of power condtioning, but I still liked it.

I have been "obsessing" over tenor sax lately. I have built new speakers (again) and the depth I feel from anything done simply in recording has me entranced.

I was recently playing a bit of Miles Davis with Coltrane in tow. I am at "Water Babies" just. now.

I read that Columbia often recorded Shorter's sax through a guitar amp, which I sometimes think I hear, especially on "Miles in the Sky" and "Water Babies."

Nicely recorded stuff.
