OK, now the waitings nearly over I thought I'd post my experience for reference.

Order/Acknowledgement: 6 November.
Payment taken:7 December
Carrier invoice raised: 12 December.
Invoice arrived: 15 December.

Tax & carrier admin: £115.77

Collection: I shall be stood outside of the Parcel Force office waiting for them to open at 08:00 tomorrow.

Still time to do significant burn-in before Christmas.
