The feet are 3/4" MDF, the only purpose was to have a nice, smooth, rounded edge that won't grab the carpet and snag it. Not nessesarily to "raise it up".
I would have routered the actual HWK, but the screws are close enough to the edges, they'd hit the router bit.

The feet are on the bottom (the true bottom, as it was designed).
Dennis is messing with me because it's upside down now, with the ports on top along with the feet.
The "top" is now on the bottom, I build a 6" stand for it, made with 2 pieces of MDF, one has a matching hole for the top port. Eight Columns of 1.25" maple dowel rod are the feet, countersunk into another piece of MDF.
