I got a chance to listen to DaveCan's new Taboo for a few hours Saturday afternoon - great sounding piece.

If you've got any kind of pre-amp at all, or even a hot CDP / DAC, you definitely want to try rolling  an AT or AU7 driver.  Once again Planet10's stash of well used pullouts yielded a triad of circa 60's Mullard 12AU7 - when driven by a Foreplay with like tubes, a big improvement to these ears.


and for those Horneshoppe owners with FE108EZ sitting on the shelf after the upgrade, looking for an easy to build and great bang for the buck DIY project, take a look at the BIB.  Cheap cheap cheap to build and kick-ass bang for the buck, although not as refined overall or particularly as articulate in the lower registers as a well executed BLH.
