I have a very old single speaker in a mantel clock type cabinet. It has a max input of 5 watts.  So I want to listen to it with my Select. How can I hook up the R/L channels to the single speaker without risking my CS?  Can I run a left and right positive to the speaker + input and a return from the - to the other posts?

...or connect like when strapping a Zen to monoblock, i.e., left channel red post connected to right channel black post, then left channel black post to speaker - and right channel red post to speaker +?
