Seems like a lot of work for a back loaded horn thats too darn narrow
Lots and Lots of variables.

I would not run a wave past the dirvers. You could port the front of the box. I hear that it can increase SPL.

Easy to try and fix.
The small boxes in the the WO are peaky and more fussy. they do seem to hit pretty hard.
There are many people that have messed with the smaller box in the threads with mixed results.
I don't have a beef with WO mods its hard to really screw up, thats how good the design is.

EDIT - the entire box is 13.5" tall, excluding the top and bottom it leaves the rest of the pieces being 12".

I have heard this cab and it is hard to believe. A band with 8 vocalists used an 18" sub of some kind and a pipe attached to it with this cab way up high in a church on each side. I expected to hear nasal-toned, raspy, muddy, middy sound with no Hi's and too much bass. I was wrong! This design is clean and so powerful, it needs an 18" sub to keep up. I was very impressed.

I decided this was the box I wanted to keep in the car, so I took it apart and sealed it all up. WOW! It sounds 3 times better! The SPL is unbelievable. The SQ is better than my WO24, worse than my weird 6th order, but overall very definitive. It sounds/feels pretty flat from 90hz down to about 38, then a slight dropoff to 30, then steeper to 28. I didn't go below 28 as that's the limit of my subs and I don't want to risk too much damage.

I'm VERY satisfied with this setup. Have already started sizing one for my buddy, as my two 5y/o 10's now out perform his Rockford Fosgate 12's.

Im thinking about building something similar... Or maybe just cut two holes in my WO and remount the drivers in the new ones.
Its very fun when someone tries something different.
